We are a chef driven food-truck specializing in wood-fired cuisine with influence from classic American barbecue, Latin and international flavors.
Rubbed N’ Tugged was a brain child of chef-owner Jared and his wife Alyssa that started as a side project with friends and family. Husband and wife team, along with their five month old son, decided to purchase their first trailer in 2017. Six months into their first year in business, the food truck was halted due to increase demand for caterered weddings and events. Their second brain child, Deshebrado, was born and quickly became know as a custom wood-fired event menu experience. Fast forward to 2020 and the current climate due to COVID-19, all weddings and events were either postponed or cancelled.
To weather the storm, Rubbed N’ Tugged has now been re-born and reimagined with the help of a fellow chef who is classically trained with fine-dining experience. Each week we feature rotating specials, all made from scratch, with a nod to each of our heritages, friends, family and culinary experiences while playing homage to our wood-fired roots.
